This refund policy applies to all courses, workshops, and services offered by Mumbai Digital Films Academy.

1. Introduction

At Mumbai Digital Films Academy (MDFA), we are committed to providing exceptional film education experiences. We understand that circumstances may change, and we've developed this refund policy to be fair to both our students and our institution.

This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be granted for our courses, workshops, and related services. By enrolling in any MDFA program, you agree to abide by this refund policy.

2. Course Enrollment Cancellation

We offer a structured cancellation policy that varies based on how far in advance you cancel before your course start date.

Regular Courses (12-month, 6-month programs):

Note: All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to admissions@mdfa.co.in. The cancellation date is determined by when we receive your written request.

3. Refund Eligibility

To be eligible for a refund, you must meet the following criteria:

Valid Reasons for Refund Consideration:

  • Medical emergencies (with supporting documentation)
  • Relocation to another city/country (proof required)
  • Serious personal circumstances (case-by-case evaluation)
  • Course cancellation by MDFA (full refund provided)
  • Dissatisfaction with course quality (after formal complaint process)

Refund Process:

  1. Submit a written refund request to admissions@mdfa.co.in
  2. Include your full name, course details, and reason for refund request
  3. Provide supporting documentation if applicable
  4. Wait for acknowledgment and processing
  5. Receive refund via original payment method

Important: Refund eligibility is subject to review by the admissions committee. Submission of a request does not guarantee approval.

4. Non-Refundable Items

The following fees and items are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Application fee: ₹2,500 (all programs)
  • Registration fee: ₹5,000 (dedicated spot reservation)
  • Course materials: Once accessed or distributed
  • Software licenses: Already provisioned for student use
  • Equipment usage fees: For equipment already used
  • Special workshop materials: Custom ordered supplies
  • Digital resources: Once login credentials provided

Additional Non-Refundable Scenarios:

  • Courses abandoned after commencement
  • Failure to attend scheduled classes or workshops
  • Expulsion due to violation of code of conduct
  • Change of mind after course materials accessed
  • Discounts or promotional offers are non-transferable and non-refundable

5. Processing Time

We strive to process refunds as quickly as possible. Here's our standard processing timeline:

Grandfather Clause:

Students enrolled in courses before policy changes will be governed by the refund policy in effect at the time of their enrollment, unless the new policy is more favorable to the student.
